Bright colorful abstract painting in aqua blue, pink, red, mango orange titled Shark Infested Waters (see the shark lurking!). My inspiration was Australian art and the use of dots, circles and wavy lines that all have movement and spiritual meaning, each representing something in the past, present or future. I created a series of these small abstract paintings and they are very complimentary together.

About Lynnie Lang
This is a wonderful journey and season in my life...I love being an artist and my favorite time of day is when I can fling paint at a canvas. My art is filled with bold colors and much of my inspiration comes from the years I spent in Australia, especially on the Great Barrier Reef. I adore working in bright colors and texture, and whether an acrylic painting, a collage or mixed medium, I start with a blank surface with no end result in mind and let the magic just happen. My 'style' is very unique and I usually have no intentions when I sit down to paint...the brush tells me what to create! Art brings me joy and peace in this harried world and it makes me stop and focus on simple things.
